Bonita Village is the result of local visionary developer Kenney Schryver. Kenney acquired the property with his investment group in 2000. His dream was to establish a mixed-use resort community that would revitalize the Bonita Beach Road corridor commonly known as the “Gateway” to the beach.

At Kenney’s passing in 2004 the ownership team headed by Vin DePasquale asked Schryver advisor Rick Armalavage to take control and execute the Bonita Village plan. The DePasquale group has a long history of developing and operating unique resort properties including Tin City Marketplace, The Dock and Riverwalk Restaurants, The Island Club Resort, and Sunset Cove Resort on Marco Island.

Rick Armalavage has an extensive background in the Southwest Florida real estate market. After graduating from Indiana University in 1976, Rick immediately entered the real estate business.  He became a real estate broker and appraiser in Florida, which eventually lead to advisory consulting for many of the largest developers and land owners throughout Southwest Florida.  Rick has been involved with zoning and entitlement, land development, product coordination, and development management. A partial list of his recent projects include Venetian Plaza Office Park, 3500 Corporate Plaza, Sunset Cove Resort, The Ivy at Naples Grande, and Cordoba at Lely Resort.  Rick has been active in Florida since 1977. His experience involves billions of dollars of Florida real estate.

Bonita Village has a strong team of professionals assisting Rick in the development operations. David Lageman has been active with the team since site acquisition and serves as Chief Financial Officer. Pat Scott and DeWayne Talley have served as the project sales team since its inception. DeWayne also serves as Broker of Bonita Village Realty, LLC real estate brokerage company. Along with sales of Bonita Village, Pat and DeWayne supervise on-site rentals for unit owners and oversight of property management including leasing at the Marketplace. 

The Bonita Village team handles all aspects of development from permitting and construction to sales and management. This highly qualified team brings experience, stability and unbridled energy to Bonita Village.
